Susan Belsinger
Susan Belsinger is a culinary
educator, food writer and photographer whose articles have been
published in Woman's Day, Organic
Gardening, Victoria Magazine and The Herb Companion. She is the citrus packing machine
author of Not Just Desserts-Sweet
Herbal Recipes, Flowers in the Kitchen, co-author, with Carolyn Dille,
of The Garlic Book, Herbs in the
Kitchen, and The Greens Book, and co-author of Basil: An Herb Lover's
Guide with Thomas DeBaggio. Susan is a
member of the Potomac Unit of The Herb Society of America
and the 2006 recipient of the Joanna
McQuail Reed Award for the Artistic Use of Herbs.
Deni Bown
Deni is an award-winning horticultural
author and photographer. She is author of many books, citrus packing machine including
The HSA New Encyclopedia of Herbs
& Their Uses, Aroids – Plants of the Arum Family, and Alba – The
Book of White Flowers. Deni lives in
England and has been an international member at large of HSA
since 1998. She is the former chair of
HSA's Promising Plants Committee, served as HSA's Honorary citrus packing machine
President from 2004 to 2006, and was
the recipient of HSA's Gertrude B. Foster Award for Excellence in
Herbal Literature in 2002.
Karen England
Edgehill Herb Farm in Vista,
California, is the home-based business of herb enthusiast Karen England.
In addition to being a member at large
of The Herb Society of America, Karen is the president of the
Vista Garden Club and on the board of
The International Herb Association. She is a popular garden
speaker and teacher of cooking with
herbs and edible flowers in the San Diego, CA, area, specializing in
the art of cooking with lavender,
roses and scented geraniums.
Madalene Hill
Madalene was president of The Herb
Society of America from 1986-1988 and has been a member citrus packing machine since
1957. She organized the South Texas
Unit and was a charter member of the Pioneer Unit. Madalene
was awarded HSA's Helen de Conway
Little Medal of Honor in 1978 and the Gertrude B. Foster Award
for Excellence in Herbal Literature in
2005. She also received the American Horticultural Society’s citrus packing machine
Catherine H. Sweeney Award in 2006.
Madalene is an accomplished plantswoman, and her garden at
The International Festival-Institute
at Round Top, Texas, attracts visitors from all over the world.
Cindy Jones, Ph.D.
Cindy Jones, Ph.D. is an educator,
scientist and owns Sagescript Institute, LLC. Sagescript provides a citrus packing machine
variety of services and products
including botanical skin care, teas, herbs and herb blends, botanical
extracts, herbal
distillates/hydrosols, microbiology services and education. She lives and
gardens with
her family in Colorado where she is a
member of the Rocky Mountain Unit of HSA.
Lorraine Kiefer
Lorraine Kiefer is the founder of the
South Jersey Unit of The Herb Society of America and has been a
member of HSA for over 20 years. With
her husband, Ted, she owns and operates Triple Oaks Nursery
& Herb Garden, a retail garden
center and gift shop in Franklinville, New Jersey. Lorraine is a regular citrus packing machine
garden columnist for several local
newspapers and has contributed articles to Green Scene and the
Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Gardening
for Fragrance. She lectures regularly at the Philadelphia Flower citrus packing machine
Show on topics ranging from flower
arranging and kitchen gardening to herbal history and fragrant
plants.
Karen Langan
Karen and her husband Mark run
Mulberry Creek Herb Farm, an organic herb nursery in Huron, Ohio.
Karen has degrees in Agricultural
Research and Greenhouse Production from Ohio State University’s
Agricultural Technical Institute and
over 20 years experience working in horticulture. She and Mark also citrus packing machine
teach classes at their herb farm on a
variety of herbal topics, including organic gardening,
aromatherapy, herbal crafts and herbal
cooking. Karen and Mark are business members of The Herb
Society of America. Mark Langan
Mark has a degree in ornamental
horticulture from Washington State University and has been working in
the horticulture field since he was a
teenager. He and his wife, Karen, run Mulberry Creek Herb Farm,
an organic herb nursery in Huron,
Ohio. They also lecture and offer workshops on herbs and gardening.
Theresa Loe
Theresa Loe tends her herb and flower
gardens with her husband and two young sons in sunny
California. As an author, video host
and garden writer, Theresa has been working in the herbal field for
more than 18 years focusing on how to
incorporate the fragrances, flavors and beauty of herbs into the
home. She writes for numerous
magazines and writes "The Herbal Pantry" column for The Herb
Companion. Her yearly calendar,
"The Herbal Calendar" (Tidemark Press), features her seasonal
recipes, crafts and garden projects.
Theresa also lectures on herbal gardening, cooking, home
entertaining, gardening with children,
and the historical uses of herbs.
Billi is a member of HSA's Tidewater
Unit. She is the former chair of HSA's Awards Committee and has
served on HSA's National Herb Garden
Committee. Billi also runs Lavender Hill House, a business in
Virginia Beach, Virginia, offering
herbal products and gifts.
Ellen Scannell
Ellen has been a member of HSA and a
Master Gardener since 1986. She is currently an HSA member
at large in the West District. While a
member of the Northern New Jersey Unit, Ellen was co-curator of citrus packing machine
the Wick Farm Garden and curator of
the Colonial Herb Garden on the Rutgers campus. In Oregon she
founded the Lavender and Demonstration
Garden and tends the Culinary Herb Garden on the Extension
Grounds. She also writes a monthly
herb article for the Master Gardener newsletter. citrus packing machine
